Does Your Dog Have Canine Arthritis?

Because of the strenuous activities that your dog undertakes every day, it may eventually develop joint problems and other bone problems.
Arthritis can be easily determined if you are aware of the usual behavior and activities of your canine friend.
However, it does not limit this condition only to aging dogs, as younger dogs without enough activities and those which are overweight may also experience arthritis earlier on.
It may also be due to previous injuries that affect the joint and bone functions.
Infections which are not given proper attention may also be a reason for canine arthritis.
Although arthritis is developed over time, it could also be genetically inherited.
Canine hip dysplaxia, a condition which affects the hip joints is hereditary.
However, obese dogs are mostly those which are greatly affected.
Some dogs may find it difficult to get out of their baskets or beds after resting for too long.
For some owners, they may just find this as dogs' natural way of getting more sleep.
After resting for a long time, stiffness on joints may bother your dog.
To help eliminate these, walk your dog as often as possible.
Strenuous as it may seem, this will trigger the release of lubricating fluids in your dog's joints.
This will also maintain your pet's normal weight.
With proper diet and nutrition, arthritis should be lessened, if not avoided.
The greater part of the body's weight is placed on the joints so it is important to maintain a healthy concoction in your dog's food.
Ensure that you visit your veterinarian at least once or twice a month.
This will ensure that your dog is in good shape.
Mention to your veterinarian some peculiar habits that your dog may have.
This will surely help in diagnosing illnesses and keeping your dog's health in tip-top shape.
