- 1). Remove the skin from the chicken thighs with a sharp kitchen knife.
- 2). Place the chicken thighs into a large pot filled with 5 cups of cold water.
- 3). Add a dash of salt to the water.
- 4). Place pot on the stove on low heat and cover, allowing the chicken to simmer for two hours. The chicken should be tender at this point. If not, cook for a longer period of time.
- 5). Remove chicken from the water and pull the meat from the bone by hand.
- 6). Allow the chicken pieces to cool and serve to your dog.
